I’ve been busy

It’s been a while since I posted anything, but I’ve been a busy girl! We were out of town in DC for 5 days (I’ll post about that later), and since we returned I’ve been busy scrapping my little tush off. Well, truthfully right now my tush really isn’t so little, but I’m 6 1/2 months pregnant so that’s okay! =)

Here are the last 2 projects I made for our “Christmas in July” theme this month at Black River Designs. First a set of holiday thank you cards. I’m so glad to have these done now so I can whip them out during the holidays whenever I need them.

materials: patterned paper (Black River Designs) + rub-ons (Black River Designs) + ribbon/ric rac (Jillibean Soup) + acrylic stamp (Hero Arts) + border punch (Fiskars)

Next a hybrid layout. I printed out the digital snowflake and circle brushes before adding the traditional elements and photos. I’ve been meaning to scrap these since last winter, and I ‘m glad they’re done.

materials: patterned paper (Black River Designs) + glitter thickers (American Crafts) + gems (Hero Arts) + circle punches (EK Success, Marvy Uchida) + snowflake punch (EK Success) + digital snowflakes brushes (The Queen of Quirk for 2 peas) + digital circle brush (Kate Teague for 2 peas)

And finally a page about various places around our home where we gather to spend time together as a family and what we do there. I think this will be fun for all of us to look at after many years. It’s for the Make It Yours challenge over at the Scrapbooks, Etc magazine website. Based on a layout by Lisa Storms.

materials: patterned paper (Basic Grey, Cloud 9 Design) + carstock and fabric letter stickers (American Crafts) + twill (Jillibean soup) + button (The Paper Studio) + corner rounder (Creative Memories)

Well I hope these have inspired you in some way to:

  1. make a thank you card set
  2. try printing digital brushes on cardstock before you add traditional elements
  3. photograph and journal about places around your home that have meaning to you/your family and tell why

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!
