So I needed something to hang on the walls in the main floor bathroom, and I knew I wanted to do something with pretty scrapbook paper and canvases. So I bought three 8×10 canvases at a local craft store, and then I bought 3 sheets of this lovely flocked silhouette paper from the Lush line by My Mind’s Eye. Then I spray painted the canvases with indoor/outdoor satin finish acrylic paint to match the papers (Oregano, Claret Wine, Espresso) and let them dry. I trimmed the papers to 7×9 inches, added a thin coat of Mod Podge on the back and then stuck them on the canvases. Since I didn’t want to damage the lovely flocking by Mod Podging over it, after they dried I sealed them with a hi-gloss decoupage finish spray so that the papers won’t get warped with the added humidity in the bathroom
Note: be careful not to get any Mod Podge on the front b/c it will really show up when you spray with the finish spray. I speak from experience. =)
