These 3D paper Christmas trees were inspired by the paper pumpkins I did last year–same concept just triangles instead of circles.
To make these cut ten 4 x 6 inch triangles, fold them in half (wrong side out), adhere them all together, and then embellish with trim and a tree topper (I attached mine with toothpicks). The smaller tree triangle sizes are 3 1/2 x 5 inches, and 3 x 4 inches.
I used We R Memory Keepers Peppermint Twist papers and poinsettia brads, Making Memories glitter ribbon, Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Tool Round 20, and black hemp cord. These are up on my mantle, but they would also make a great centerpiece for a holiday table.
Love these! DD and I made round ornaments in this style a few years ago and I have a hard time keeping them fanned out and open. Is there a trick to it? Thanks!
Lisa, thanks for your kind words. The only thing I can suggest is I always do 10-12 circles (or triangles) and that seems to keep them nice and full and fanned out. If you do much less than that, they aren't full enough to stay fanned out. And make sure you use cardstock weight paper. Hope that helps.
I love the trees, so cute!
Love those trees!
Super cute trees! I need these right now for my mantel which looks very bare this year.
