To help me get more practice on my new camera, and to help make sure I’m telling my everyday life stories (in addition to the celebrations and events) I’ve decided to take on a year-long photo project. Now, I didn’t take this whole thing lightly because I’ve honestly avoided these photo-a-day, photo-a-week, etc projects for years because I know I just can’t stick to something like that with my busy life. But, I’ve finally found something that I know I can do and I’m super excited.
Take Twelve 2012 is a photo challenge sponsored by Ella Publishing Co. The idea of take twelve is that you take 12 photos on the 12th day of each month and create a layout for each month using those 12 photos. I can totally take 12 photos once a month! And honestly, if I get too busy and can’t do it on the 12th, that’s totally okay too. As long as it happens some time during the month.
And now for the GIVEAWAY!! Ella has released a guided inspiration kit to help with participation in the Take Twelve challenge, and they have generously offered to give one free downloadable copy of this book to one of you! (A $17.70 value until this Thursday when it goes up to $20.12.)
To be considered for this giveaway, leave a comment below sharing any scrapbooking plans/goals you have for the coming year. Comments will remain opened until midnight (MST) on Thursday 1/12, and the winner will be announced on Friday morning. Please don’t forget to check back and see if you won. Good luck!

I was just thinking about this project today, and I REALLY want to do this! My BIG scrapping goal this year is to complete my daughter's baby album and to start (and finish) my sons's album. Whew!
That is a pretty cool project! It would be very interesting to see what different things are going on..on the 12ths! Good Luck! I am just trying to scrap the end of last month by the end of this month! -Amanda
No need to enter me in the contest (I already have the kit)-I'm super excited about doing 12 on 12 and Project Life this year-those are my two main scrappy goals. π
I'd love this! I plan on doing Project Life this year.
ooo this is interesting. i don't usually jump on board these things because i dont wanna fail. lol!
Good luck! I avoid those picture a day type things too! And my only scrappy goal is to have fun! π
I plan to document more and have fun with it. Not to overanalyze.
My goal is to make 2 cards with the scraps from each layout I make! My scraps are overflowing π
Thanks for offering such a great giveaway! I am doing Project Life as a week to week project!
This sounds really cool and it is such a great idea! My plan for 2012 is just to make time to scrapbook. I've been finding time to do just about everything for everyone who asks, but I just could't find the time for this hobby that I really enjoy.
Thanks for all the inspiration!
Edna
I too normally avoid these project life projects- they seem so daunting! This seems like an easy way to work with the concept! Thanks for chance and my scrappy goal is to use more of my stash!
I would love to win this kit as this will be my only year long project this year, this is my one big scrappy goal!
I take pictures all month long but my goal for this year is to scrapbook at least once per month.
Looks like a fun challenge…the cover definitely draws me in!
In 2012, I plan to scrap my kids' school pages from last school year (always a major feat) as well as scrap our family's 2011 summer vacation. Fingers crossed that I can make it happen! π
I heard about this on The Paperclipping Roundtable, but forgot to go check it out. It looks like a wonderful compliment to Twelve that I'm taking at BPC.
Thanks for the chance to win.
I am going todo the for sure. It sound like a runway to summarize the month.
I'm hoping to make the time to scrap more often! This is my first year doing a project life, so keeping my fingers crossed that I stick with it!
I would love to try this! My goal for this year is to get my daughter's scrapbook caught up. I hope to take a day each month to focus on it—that's a BIG goal! π
