Another new kit that Anna sold on HSN this week was the Fabulous Folded Paper Embellishment Kit. This kit was a blast to work with–I loved it and the results are stunning! Take a look at some of my cards below using the folded butterflies:
Again, this kit is such a great value. It comes with so many pieces and ribbons that you have great flexibility in how you use those pieces. For the above card I trimmed the center from a green butterfly and folded it together with a pink one to create the butterfly’s center. I also added some gems on top of the ribbon. Then I die cut a small envelope with my Cricut, punched some smaller butterflies, and arranged them to appear as if they were flying out of the envelope.
The above card demonstrates the basic use of the butterfly layered over some fussy cut floral flocked paper. These DIY embellishments are great focal points for any project.
For this card I used multiple butterflies. In order for this to work without being too busy I kept the design symmetrical, used very neutral colored butterflies, and trimmed the ribbon antennae so they could all fit.
