project 12: getting started

This year I decided to do something similar to Take 12, but rather than taking twelve photos on the twelfth day of each month I’ll create a two page spread using photos that highlight each month and my journaling will summarize each month.  Instead of creating traditional scrapbook pages, I’ll use pocket pages (or divided page protectors).  I’m really loving the new We R Memory Keepers Albums Made Easy system so I’ll be using that–the Memo collection specifically.  So, it’s basically Project Life but with monthly spreads rather than weekly.  Much more digestible and doable for me.

My album cover and January spread will be in an upcoming Creating Keepsakes special issue, All About Albums, so I can’t share those with you yet.  But I will share my spread for February.

I’m really excited about this approach.  I feel like I can keep up with this, it will tell our family story, and I get to be creative all at the same time.  A win-win, right?
