I’m a long time fan of Laina Lamb. I worked with her when I was on the Jillibean Soup design team, and I’ve admired her work in CK and her design work for a while. So when she asked me to be a guest designer for Laina Lamb Design at My Favorite Things I was thrilled.
I had a blast working with Laina’s new Journal It-Playlist stamps, Document It-Rock On stamps, Accent It-Rock and Roll dies, and Accent It-Cassette Tape dies. They’re perfect for my teenage boys! Check out my layout below:
My boys are so goofy…and awesome. I was a bit surprised at how willing they were to oblige my request for a little “rock on” photo shoot. They were great sports!
I used a lot of dies for this page to create custom accents. And that cassette tape die is the perfect place for my stamped title. The cassette tape label stamp works well for a journaling spot. And the WRMK For the Record collection has the perfect colors and patterns for the look I was going for. Love that line!
I used my scraps from the above layout to create this fun card. I love to make quick cards while I have my scraps out after I finish my layouts. Check it out:
I have to admit I’ve never worked with MFT stamps or dies before. But I sure would again!! The quality is amazing–the stamps are sticky enough that there’s no chance they’ll move on your acrylic block, and they’re sturdy enough that they won’t wobble or bulge when you’re stamping–perfect impressions! And the dies are steel and totally sturdy as well. Check them out!
