Today I thought I’d share some scrapbook pages I made using Anna’s new cutting + embossing dies. I think most crafters think of creating cards when they think of cutting dies, but you can also create scrapbook pages. Take a look:
This medallion die is a bit shorter than 6 inches, so I simply added a border to the center of the page to fill the gap between the top and bottom dies cut images. I also cut apart a die cut image to create the photo frame.
For this page I used white core cardstock and carefully sanded the images before cutting them apart and clustering them together on my page.
Waste not, want not, right? For this page I used the negatives leftover after die cutting my cardstock, backed them with some tone-on-tone paper, and added them to my page as a background.
Using the damask die together with this tone-on-tone damask paper creates a unified feel to the page. Also, using light colored cardstock against the darker background really makes the die cut images pop.
For this page I embossed the background of the panel so that the die cut images would have some added elegance and beauty behind them to set them off. Again, the light cardstock against the dark background helps to set them off as well.
I die cut the images for this page from patterned paper and collaged them together with the photo, title, and other elements. I also added some decorative details by strategically placing some adhesive pearls.
