more birthday inspiration

Today I thought I would share some more projects I created for Birthday Month over on the We R Memory Keepers blog.  How to include birthday cards in your albums is a dilemma for lots of scrappers.  This birthday layout includes some cards.  I used the 6×4 + 6×6 photo sleeve configuration to fit the cards.

I attached the back of the cards to a 6×6 piece of patterned paper along with a journaling card, and since the pocket opens on the left, I slipped the whole thing into the pocket with the back of the card inside and the front of the card outside so you can open it a read it when browsing through the album.

Consider using photo sleeves to display birthday cards in your album.  You can find tons of different photo sleeve configurations on the We R Memory Keepers website HERE.  You’re sure to find something that will work for you.

Next is an easy and cute masculine birthday banner I made using the Hall Pass 6×6 paper pad and my Scallop Mini 8 Punch.

Even though Hall Pass is a school themed collection there were plenty of generic patterns I was able to use to create this birthday banner that we hang for the boys in our house.

I simply punched several 6×6 pieces of paper with the Mini 8 punch and then cut them in half.  I then cut some letters with my Cricut machine and added them to the banner.  To hang it I threaded a long strand of brown baker’s twine through the loops in the semi-circles.

I hope these ideas inspire your birthday paper crafting.  Creative cheers!
