patterned paper:a paper crafter’s best kept secret

After years of working in the paper crafts/scrapbooking industry I have come to realize that one of my signature go-to products is simply patterned paper.  I almost always turn to my patterned paper for everything from backgrounds, to titles, to accents, to layers, to DIY embellishments.  I love to fussy cut images, cut strips and banners, punch, die cut, and fold paper.

Patterned paper is truly one of the best kept secrets of paper crafters.  You can create gorgeous projects with paper alone.  Take a look at some of the projects I created using Anna Griffin’s new French Floral Paper Kit:

Everything on these two cards except for the sentiment stickers, of course, is made from folding, fussy cutting, and layering patterned paper.

Take a look at the page below.  Can you guess which elements were not created from patterned paper?

I’ll give you the answer: the journaling, the title, and one die cut in the top left corner of the photo.  Everything else was made from patterned paper.  Cool, huh?

The page above shows one of my favorite designs–layered paper banner strips.  A super easy and oh-so-effective design.

This page features some punched, folded, and fussy cut paper.  Everything minus the journaling and title was made with patterned paper.  Love that stuff!
