crafty christmas countdown: day 11

Today I’m sharing some more Anna Griffin embossing folder projects with you.  These projects feature different ways to use inks in conjunction with the embossing folders.

You can individually color parts of embossed designs using markers, or by running multiple papers through the Cuttlebug with different color ink on the inside of the embossing folder and cutting them apart.

The cards above and below were created by inking the inside of the embossing folder with metallic ink before adding the paper in.  You can create different looks by inking the top versus the bottom of the folder–one inks the raised or embossed design, and the other inks the debossed design.

For the card below I ran the paper through the Cuttlebug with ink in the inside of the folder, and then I added some berries to the holly with red glitter glue.
For the cards above and below I rubbed multiple colors of ink over the embossed images to get unique looks on both cards.

I love how the above scrapbook page turned out after softly rubbing gold ink over the embossed snowflake images.  The embossed design really pops.

Anna’s embossing folders are truly elegant and beautiful.  She likes to call them “butter cream frosting”, and I would have to agree!
