crafty christmas countdown: day 1

Finally, I’ve got some scrapbook layouts to share with you that I made using Anna Griffin’s new Cricut cartridge, Winter Wonderland. Some of these images are so intricate and detailed–the bottom center ornament on the page below is a great example.  That took quite a while to piece together once I cut everything out, but man does it look awesome!

Repeated tone-on-tone poinsettias  look festive on the page below.  I love that Anna included several titles on her cartridge.  The fonts are just beautiful.

The images on this cartridge can be cut from 1 inch to 12 inches.  Using large and small contrasting images on a project is a great way to add visual interest, as I did on the layout below with the huge die cut present, and the smaller present border on the bottom of the page.

The scrapbook page below is my very favorite project using Anna’s new Cricut project.  There’s something so sweet about that face in the center of the big snowflake.

For this final page I die cut the layers for the Christmas trees and then ran the top layer through my Cuttlebug in one of Anna’s holiday embossing folders, and then lightly sanded them.  That took the trees to the next level.

I hope you enjoy your Christmas Eve tonight, and that you remember what’s most important at this time of year–who we are and what we give of ourselves to others.
