As part of Baby Week on the We R blog last week I shared an interactive baby boy announcement and shower decor. I thought I’d share them with you today, along with a few tips.
Interactive Baby Announcement
If you’re looking for DIY baby announcement ideas, here’s a simple but clever way to share the happy news with your family and friends.
The announcement is letterpress paper printed with some fun plates, with a paper border, twine, and enamel accents. I printed the baby onesie on a separate paper, cut it out, and added it with a foam square and some mini clothespins.
I made the pocket by creating an envelope with my Envelope Punch Board and cutting off the top flap. Tip: I inserted the cut off flap upside down to cover the sports pattern on the “B” side of the paper.
Baby Shower Decor
Here’s an idea for baby boy shower decor using a non-baby-themed paper collection from We R Memory Keepers, and the Label It Kit dies.
Keep in mind that you don’t have to use baby-themed papers for your baby projects–just select your favorite baby color scheme and choose papers that fit within that theme. Just be sure to add labels, tags, or accents that tie in the baby theme somehow.
