I’ve got a couple more projects to share with you from Birthday Week on the We R blog. These ideas are both fun and easy ways to add that extra special touch to your party decor.
Embossed Party Napkins
Finding additional uses for my crafting supplies always makes me happy–I feel less guilty about my ever-growing crafting stash, and I get to enjoy my favorite goodies more often! Here’s a fun way to use your embossing folders on something other than paper.
I used the new Butterfly Embossing Folders to spruce up these plain party napkins. It was easy to place the napkin in the center of the embossing folder, lining it up with the handy grid on the front cover. Then I ran it through my Evolution and the results look fantastic!
If you want to take your party napkins to the next decorative level try combining the butterfly embossing folders with the new Monarch Shape Die to create matching napkin rings.
After embossing each napkin, I rolled the sides inward and tied some Yellow Sew Ribbon around the bottom. Then I cut some butterflies from Hip Hip Hooray patterned paper and added them on top of the bows.
Embossing napkins is a quick and easy way to use your crafting supplies to add that special decorative touch to your next birthday party. What other ways do you like to use your crafting supplies?
Birthday Cake Topper
Take your birthday party decor to the next level by extending your crafting supplies and skills to include your food. I made this festive birthday cake even more fun by adding a die cut cake topper.
I also used the tip of the needle to poke out the centers of the die cut holes in the alphas. I tied them all together to some bamboo skewers and stuck them into the birthday cake.
