easter project inspiration

Easter is such a special and fun time of year! Our family not only loves the fun and crafty side of it, but also what it means to our faith and beliefs. We look forward to it just as much as Christmas. Here are a few fun Easter themed projects to inspire you.

Easter In A Bucket

This is a great idea for kids or to share with friends, teachers, or neighbors. I picked up the plain tin bucket from the dollar bins at Target, and then embellished it and filled it with Easter goodies.

I started off by cutting some green adhesive backed vinyl with the Grass Edges Die to create the grass around the bottom of the bucket. Designer tip: to fit the grass edge around the bucket I cut a few evenly spaced slits at the bottom and overlapped them as I placed the grass around the bucket. I also die cut some clouds from white vinyl, and placed those around the top of the bucket.

Then I made a pinwheel and added a chipboard alpha as a monogram to personalize the bucket. Then I cut several butterflies, added Yellow Glitter Brads to the centers, and glued them to the bucket. Designer tip: a hot glue gun works best when adhering paper items to round surfaces.

DIY Easter Game

Why not use your craft supplies to make a fun Easter game for the kids? I used a We R Memory Keepers 4×4 photo sleeve and some Simply Spring patterned papers, tags, and stickers to create this Easter Tic-Tac-Toe game.

After cutting the X’s and O’s out with my Cricut, I ran them all through my Xyron using repositionable adhesive. You could also use a dry erase marker since it wipes clean from the photo sleeve with a paper towel.

I hope you enjoyed these ideas. Come back Friday for some more Easter inspiration!
