more easter inspiration

Today I’ve got a couple more Easter project ideas to share with you. First off is a simple piece of Easter home decor.

Easter Egg Paint Chip Garland

Garlands and banners have been popular for a while and are still going strong in paper crafts and home decor, and paint chips are also a favorite among DIY’ers so…I thought I would combine the two.

Since an oval shape resembles an egg I decided to create an Easter Egg Garland using the Oval Punches Die to cut several different color paint chips. I love the ombre coloring on the paint chips, and the rainbow effect is fresh and perfect for spring. After die cutting the ovals I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch small holes in the tops of them, and then I threaded a length of green Sew Easy Baker’s Twine through them for hanging.

I also cut some small embellishments from white textured cardstock using the Blossom and Butterfly Nesting Dies. I adhered them to the center of every third egg shape.

Sunday Brunch Favors

If you’re in need of a favor idea for your Easter Sunday brunch, here’s a pretty favor box you can make with some of the new Lifestyle Crafts dies.

To create this favor container, I used the new Large Bakery Box Die and some patterned paper from the Chalkboard collection. I cut the box die twice, and then hot glued the two pieces together.

I trimmed banner flags from some 6 inch strips and added them to the front of the box, and then layered a doily on top that I cut with the Lattice Doily Die. To create the bow, I die cut some patterned paper with the new Gift Bow Die.

I love that the die includes guide holes to help you line up your bow just right when you
fold and assemble it! To finish off the favor box I die cut a few mini butterflies using the Butterfly Nesting Dies, and I cut a tag with the new Home Made Nesting Dies.

You can add “Happy Easter” to the tag, or you can personalize it and use it as a place marker at the table as well.
