Today I’m excited to share a fun altered project with you using the new Echo Park Capture Life collection. I’ve been searching for some new decor to add to my 11 year old daughter’s room, and this collection is perfect for her taste in color and style.
I created this fun decor project by starting with three 4 inch cork tiles that I got at my local craft store. I distressed the edges with my scissors, and then covered them with some of my favorite papers, stickers, and die cuts from the collection.
I used the Capture Life 6×6 Paper Pad since the scale of the designs is perfect for the smaller size canvases. The darling new Capture Life Designer Dies add such a fun feel to the project—they’re perfect for tags, cards, scrapbook layouts, or whatever else you’d like to create.
To maintain a sense of unity between the tiles I spattered a bit of aqua ink on them, and embellished them all with some twine, enamel shapes, and other small accents. I also made sure to include similar colors to tie them all together. For hanging, I hot glued some twine on the back of the tiles.

This is very beautiful!
So cheerful, Aly! Thanks for the inspiration – love it!
