Do you like to use sketches? I’m giving away a free seat in sketch expert Donna Januzzi’s new Sketch Solutions workshop at Big Picture Classes. For 28 days starting in May, you’ll get a new sketch every other day, accompanied by two layouts and a useful lesson in creative adaptation. With this foundation, you’ll learn why and how to harness the power of sketches to truly simplify your scrapbooking process. This interactive online workshop includes 14 main sketches, 14 bonus sketches, and a free copy of Donna’s Stretch Your Sketches eBook (with 30 additional sketches inside). A total of 58 sketches to inspire your scrapbooking!

If you’d like to be considered for this giveaway, leave a comment on this post telling me how you find sketches useful in your creative process. Comments will remain open until 8:00 am Friday (MDT) when I’ll announce one randomly selected winner. Be sure to check back and see if you won. Good luck!!

Anna Griffin 12 inch Embossing Folders

I’ve got some more Anna Griffin projects to share that I created for her Home Shopping Network show in March. Today I’ll show you a couple of projects I made with her new 12 inch embossing folders. I love that scrapbookers can now get full size images! Yay!

This page involves a few techniques: 1) I punched out circles and adhered them to the page before running the whole thing through my Cuttlebug (I like to call that embedding), and 2) I sanded and fussy-cut the pink image after embossing it.

This page includes four 12 inch embossed panels that are either sanded or inked, or both. I also made a pleated embossed frame around the photo, but most of it is covered with embellishments. =)
Anna Griffin Jolie Collection
Anna also released a new paper crafting kit called Jolie. It contains reproductions of old French Toile fabric it a color palette that’s unique for Anna. Here are a few cards.

This kit is a bit different from Anna’s usual style, and works really well for masculine pages in addition to the typical Anna projects in a more feminine style.

  1. Thanks for your inspiration! I love using sketches to help get my layout started. It's a quick way to help me get quickly inspired!

  2. I would LOVE to win a seat, because Donna is so amazing with her sketches (I already have her two ebooks). Sketches help me to find new designs or they help me to "start" a layout hen I am stuck. It would be really wonderful if I win a seat!

  3. I love your projects! My favorite is the Fun with Family layout – love the colors and everything you added on the page. Thanks for sharing your creativity!
