Today I’m sharing a Thanksgiving card I created for the Echo Park Paper blog using the new Made from Scratch collection and the darling I Heart Fall Mini Theme. I love that the two collections mix together perfectly!
I used sticker accents and cut out some leaves from the I Heart Fall Mini Theme paper to add a fall feel to this Thanksgiving card, but the rest of the card is from a collection that isn’t fall or Thanksgiving themed. You don’t always need themed products to create a themed look on your projects. Picking the right color scheme can help accomplish that as well.
I also used the Echo Park Hexagon Nesting Designer Dies to create a geometric design on the front of my card. I cut hexagons using the three smallest dies and arranged them randomly on my card front. Then I added some hand stitching to each one. Design tip: I used an old mouse pad under the card front while I pierced stitching holes with my needle. Then I used a single strand of white floss to backstitch a border around each hexagon.
Are you ready for the big feast tomorrow? What are your plans this year?
