I love to display my favorite photos around my house. Reliving the memories each time I walk past them is so worth having them out of my albums. Being a paper crafter means I can’t resist using my favorite papers and crafting tools to add a little something special to my photo displays. Check out this butterfly altered frame I created to house some of my favorite photos of my youngest daughter.
I found this multi-photo frame at the dollar store recently, and decided to alter it with some patterned paper, butterfly die cuts, and stickers from the Echo Park We Are Family paper collection.
I used the new Butterfly Trio Bigz Die from Echo Park for Sizzix. I love that the die includes a little body for the butterflies–too cute! And having three graduated sizes of butterflies to choose from makes this die super versatile.
I cut double butterfly images and layered them together, bending up the wings of the top layer to add dimension to the project. Butterflies are such a classic icon that can be used for so many different projects. I can see myself using this die over and over again. Love it!
