DIY paperclip bookmarks

Hello friends! I’m a big fan of turning to Pinterest for inspiration. So today I’m sharing a fun Pinterest-inspired project with you featuring the fun new Echo Park A Fair To Remember Mini Theme. A while ago I found some darling paper clip embellishments on Pinterest and I’ve been wanting to create something similar.

I decided they would make cute back to school bookmarks, so I grabbed some jumbo paper clips and measured their length. I trimmed my paper to 4” long, and between 1 ½” and 1 ¼” wide to fit the width of the paper clips. I folded the paper in half over the bottom of the clip and then stapled it together with my craft stapler.

Then I cut some of the papers into various banner shapes, and punched some of the corners with decorative corner punches.
Finally I added some word/phrase stickers, icon stickers, enamel dots, wood veneer shapes, and twine to embellish the bookmarks. I placed the embellishments strategically to cover up the stapes.

I love them because they’re super easy to make! You can use these little guys as bookmarks, or they make great DIY embellishments for cards, layouts, and other paper crafts projects. What would you use them for?
