Hey there crafty friends! I’m really excited to share a thankful card I made featuring the lovely new The Story Of Fall collection from Echo Park Paper. This is one of my all-time favorite fall collections with its rich colors and darling woodland creatures!
The embellishments that coordinate with this collection are the perfect solution for quick and easy cards. I used some of the beautiful Ephemera Pieces, Chipboard Accents, and Enamel Shapes to help this card come together in minutes.
I love the woodgrain instaframe included in the Ephemera pack and definitely wanted to include it on my card, but the text at the bottom didn’t quite fit my fall theme.
So I covered up the unwanted text with some rustic ribbon, and placed a glue dot underneath the bow to keep it from shifting and revealing the wrong text.
Now I still get to include the frame that I absolutely love, and stick to the theme I decided on as well. Best of both worlds! This is a great tip for working with any embellishment that doesn’t quite fit your theme.
Since the ribbon I added creates some bulk on the back of the card background, I adhered it to my card base with some foam squares to leave room for the bulky ribbon on the back of the card background.
