My youngest daughter had her birthday recently, and last week I shared a vampire bat garland I made for her party. Today I’m sharing the rest of the decorations, including a banner, balloons, and streamer wall. So fun!
Some of these items I created with supplies and tools from the new DIY Party collection from We R Memory Keepers, which I received for free from my friends there. The DIY Party line made creating this party easy and fun, and I’m just in love with everything in this collection!
I started by creating the streamer wall, though it’s technically a window. This spot is the perfect place in our house to decorate for parties, but it’s not the best spot for taking staged photos since it’s back lit. I did the best I could with the tough lighting situation, so bare with me. =)
Though it looks complicated, it was easy to make the streamer wall. I simply placed some masking tape along the length of the window at the top and bottom with the sticky side out. I attached it to the wall at each end, and in the center. Then my older daughters and I measured and cut several lengths of streamers to fit from the top length of tape, to the bottom, and we just pressed the streamers into the exposed tape. Easy peasy!
Next, I added balloons tied into groups of three at the top to cover the ends of the streamers. I taped the twine that I used to tie the balloons together to the wall with masking tape. Then I added the bat garland I had make with my DIY Party Honeycomb Paper, Honeycomb Stencils, Tissue Paper, and Fringe and Score Board. I taped the baker’s twine it hangs on to the wall with masking tape.
Finally, I created a banner with my Silhouette Cameo and my We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board. It includes the famous vampire phase from the Hotel Transylvania series, “blah, blah, blah”. That was my daughter’s request, and I thought it was perfect!
I had such a fun time creating decor for this party, and my daughter loved how it turned out. The party was a blast, and we made some great memories. Come back on Wednesday when I share the cute vampire treats I made for party favors. See you then!
