Hard to believe it’s that time of year again, but here we are! While the holiday season often sneaks up on me, I am always excited for the opportunity to document the many things I’m grateful for in my life through my gratitude journal. The 15 Days Of Gratitude project is one of my all-time favorites! I truly believe that feeling and expressing gratitude engenders happiness, and that waiting for happiness to come in order to feel and express gratitude may mean you’re in for a long wait. =) This is a great way to focus on increasing gratitude!
This year my gratitude journal is a Heidi Swapp Wanderlust Gold Foil Vintage Memory Binder. I also used some papers, tab dividers, page protectors, flea market pouches, and other embellishments included in the collection. Not only do I love the look of Heidi’s goodies, but they made this 15 Days Of Gratitude project come together much more quickly and easily. Take a look at how I decorated the cover:
I love the little tassels from the Confetti line by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper. They’re the perfect colors for this album. The Thankful die is from Echo Park–I really love all the Designer Die sets they’ve been releasing. The mini alpha stickers and gold-dipped arrow die cut are from the We R Memory Keepers Wildflower collection. That collection coordinates beautifully with Heidi’s Wanderlust line.
The plan is to have one page for each of the 15 days where I can journal about my blessings, and the things I’m grateful for. Some of those page are stolen from an old spiral bound journal, some are from the flea market pouches, some are the coordinating tags, and others I cut down from the 12×12 papers.
I used Heidi’s four-hole binder punch to fit my custom pages into the binder. I love that punch–it opens up so many possibilities for layering odd size pages and tags. The journaling will be typed on my computer, cut into strips, and added to each page as I go. I love journaling strips because my writing is not so neat, so they look nicer and can also serve as a fun design element.
Then I also included plenty of Heidi’s page protectors where I’ll add 3×3 and 4×6 photos (or photo collages). I’ve also left room in some of the page protectors for shaker pockets, which I really love right now. And yes, there will be some Fuse action happening there soon!
Stay tuned–I’ll be sharing my completed pages once or twice a week here–depending on how busy I get. 😉 I can’t wait to get started on today’s entry!
