Hello crafty friends! The project I’m sharing with you today has been in the works for many weeks, so I’m beyond thrilled to finally share it with you. It’s not that any part of this project was particularly difficult or time consuming, it’s just that there are multiple parts and I wanted to take my time and get each part just right. I also really wanted this project to be a creative extension of myself, so I took some time to find the right inspiration before I started. So, without any further explanation, here is my craft room gallery wall!
This DIY gallery wall is a bit different than your average one. My craft room has a double chair rail filled with a patterned paper border, so my wall space is somewhat limited. The We R Memory Keepers Organization Gallery was the perfect solution.
Placing these 17 inch frames side-by-side works really well with the height of the wall space in my craft room. I love the clean white borders that unify each of the unique pieces. And I love that each piece of my craft room gallery wall can stand alone too.
The first piece is the Clip Frame. Six hanging clips are included with the wired frame. I hung some of my favorite journaling cards in colors that coordinate with my room, along with a couple of black & white photos and some Heidi Swapp wood veneer cards. I added a couple of picture clips from the Ruler Studio collection to hang a few more items than would normally fit.
The next piece is one of my favorites ( I could probably say that about each one). I created some DIY chalk art on the Magnetic Chalkboard Frame. I have no hand-drawing or hand-lettering skills, but I didn’t need any! I used an easy and fun trick to create this pretty piece of chalk art, which I will be sharing here on my blog soon.
On the other side of the chalkboard sits my Pegboard Frame. Instead of using the included pegs to hang and store my supplies. I created a piece of DIY string art with it. You can catch full instructions for my Pegboard String Art on my blog HERE.
The Corkboard Frame is up next. Previously, I had a magnetic frame hanging on this wall with some of my favorite journaling cards/tags with lovely quotes taped onto it. You can see that on my blog HERE. I just took those cards/tags and taped them to the Corkboard frame, adding a few gold accents for good measure.
The final piece of my craft room gallery wall is another favorite, the Storage Frame. I kept with the aqua, mint, navy, and earthy tones from my room, and added in a bit of gold. Some of these items I picked up at Michael’s in the value bins. Like those adorable vintage-style resin frames. I almost squealed out loud when I found them. They’re my favorite! Other items in this frame are from my craft stash. I spray painted some items gold, because, well. Why not?
I’m so happy with how this turned out for so many reasons! I needed some white on this side of the room, and each of these Organization Gallery pieces is just so awesome. This will be staying in my craft room for a while.
I really like these frames and would like to purchase them, but I have only been able to fine the peg board and hinged display frame on Amazon. I cannot find the others anywhere. Please tell me where I can purchase the different frames. Thanks!!
Hi Martha, contact American Crafts customer service for a list of stores that carry the Organization Gallery. Here's their email address: acinfo@americancrafts.com
This looks so pretty! I really like how each piece is different, but the white frames ties everything together 🙂
