fall apple decor ideas

We have some fruit trees in our yard, one of which is an apple tree. Our apples are ripe and ready to harvest in mid- to late september, so I always think of fall and apples together. Apples are a great item to include in your early fall decorating, so today I’ve got a roundup of some cute and easy fall apple decor ideas using paper ones as well as the real thing. Whether you’re a paper crafter, or just a home decor enthusiast, you’re sure to find something that inspires you!

1. Back-To-School Apple Mason Jar

This project is perfect for late summer/early fall. It’s an easy back-to-school gift or decor idea. Simply add some red paint to a mason jar, and tie on some natural twine and leaves cut out from green cardstock. Fill it with pencils, wheat stalks, or a branch of fall leaves. Grab the full tutorial on the Tilly’s Nest blog HERE.

2. Folded Paper Apples

Grab your favorite red patterned paper or cardstock, cut out some apples shapes, fold them in half, and glue them together for a fun 3D decor piece with lots of texture and visual interest. Make a set for a fun fall vignette. Check out the how-to on the Pebbles, Inc blog HERE.

3. Honeycomb Paper Apple Gift Box

This cute honeycomb apple box is great for fall gifting, but would also make a darling addition to your fall home decor. Grab some red honeycomb pads from We R Memory Keepers, their honeycomb stencils, and some green cardstock for leaves. So cute! Learn how to assemble these little guys on the Lemon Thistle blog HERE.

4. Fall Apple Floral Arrangement

While apples are in season and relatively inexpensive, consider sticking a few with a bamboo skewer and adding them to your fall floral arrangements. Such an easy way to turn a plain vase of flowers into a lovely piece of fall decor! Catch the original post on the Weranda Country blog HERE.

5. Apple Votive Candle Holders

This idea is perfect for an outdoor fall dinner party. Grab a bushel of red and green apples, core them, and fill them with votive candles. For an indoor party use flameless tea lights. Find more photos and details on the Little Green Notebook blog HERE.

6. Easy Fall Apple Centerpiece

I love how simple this centerpiece is, but it’s so pretty! Combine some Eucalyptus branches, cheesecloth, candles, and apples. Easy peasy! Get step-by-step instructions on the Julie Blanner blog HERE.

7. Apples, Pumpkins, and Pinecones

I’ve always thought that apples and pumpkins are separate phases of fall, so it never occurred to me to include them in a display together. But I love this grouping of green apples, white pumpkins, and pinecones. Beautiful for fall! More details on the Miss Mustard Seed blog HERE.

Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to grab some apples and get decorating! If you use apples (paper or real) in your fall home decor I’d love to see. Be sure to link up your photos. Happy fall crafting!
