Almost exactly a year ago our family took what we all consider our favorite family trip for spring break. Not only did we have a fabulous time, but we have some fabulous memories caught on film. I wanted to display our memories in an easy and accessible way, so I decided to make a DIY matchbook instax album with my photos, some brads, and some scrapbook paper.
I started by cutting my scrapbook paper to 2 x 5 3/4 inches. Then I used my Trim & Score Board to score lines at 2 1/2 inches, 2 5/8 inches, 5 1/8 inches, and 5 1/4 inches.
I used my Corner Chomper to round the end with the 1/2 inch score line, and then punched holes 1/2 inch in from the sides with my 1/8 inch Crop-A-Dile punch.
Then I punched holes 1/2 inch in from the sides at the bottom of each of my Instagram Mini photos. I folded them into the 1/2 inch flap and pushed brads through each hole, splitting the prongs over the back of the last photo so that the scrapbook paper covers them.
I closed the front flap by tucking it behind the 1/2 inch flap with the brads, and then decorated the front cover with a few die cuts, a wood sticker, and some sequin stickers.
I love that some of our favorite family photos are now on display for everyone to see, and it took me about 15 minutes to make! This would also make a great gift for moms, grandmas, teachers, and friends.
OMG!! Super cute!!! I love this idea!!!
Very sweet!
