second day of christmas: easy snowflake ornaments

We’ve had our current Christmas tree now for a couple of years and I’ve been slowly collecting metallic (gold, silver, platinum, copper, brass, rose gold) and white ornaments since we got it. This year, I added some rose gold pinecones and some white glitter snowflakes. The snowflakes were an easy DIY that I’m excited to share with you!

This is a personal blog, but I am an employee and do receive financial compensation and material product from American Crafts/We R Memory Keepers. I bought the Heidi Swapp white glitter chipboard snowflakes at the American Crafts warehouse sale. They’re glitter wall words from her Oh What Fun collection. You can add them to wreaths, garlands, or other holiday decor projects.

I decided I wanted to make them into ornaments, so I needed to add a hole and some thread for hanging.

So I grabbed my trusty Crop-A-Dile and punched some 1/8 inch holes in the chipboard. At first I tried with my regular Crop-A-Dile, but the chipboard was too thick to fit in the holes punch. Then I tried my Crop-A-Dile II (Big Bite) and it worked like a charm!

I threaded some gold metallic thread from the We R Memory Keepers Stitch Happy collection through the holes and tied the ends in knots for hanging.

I love how they turned out, and of course, my favorite part is how easy it was to make them!

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to come back tomorrow for some more holiday inspiration!
