Most of my memory keeping these days either happens in my planner, a traveler’s notebook, or a journal. I approach it much like I would a mini album. Last year in April during my daughter’s senior year she and I took a trip to Boston and New York City, so I recorded some memories on the April spread in my planner.

I love scrapbooking on a smaller scale in my Heidi Swapp planner where I’m recording details about my life anyway. It just makes sense with my busy schedule, and saves me time while still allowing me to capture important memories.
I used the new DCWV Journaling Premium Stack and the Okey Dokey Stack to embellish my planner spread. The Journaling Stack is full of labels, cards, tags, and other goodies you can punch out and use for journaling in or embellishing your planner.
I used my Heatwave Pen, some gold foil, and a Heatwave Template to add some gold metallic handwriting to the left side of the planner spread. I love the sparkle it adds!
Next I created a DIY accent tag with my Tag Punch Board as a layer in a cluster of embellishments. I love that I can customize the size and shape of my tag with this awesome punch board!
I was able to add plenty of journaling about our trip by typing it onto some cards from the Journaling Stack, and including the cards in an envelope I made with the Mini Envelope Punch Board.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’ve gotten some helpful memory keeping inspiration that you can use in your own planner. Planners are a great way to keep track of your schedule and your memories too. Happy planning!
Fun project!
