For some weird reason I resisted the whole craft cart thing for years, but once I got my hands on this craft cart I’ve become a a believer! It’s one of my favorite craft room storage solutions! Today I’m sharing some ideas for using a storage cart and accessories to keep craft supplies organized and easy to find.

There are so many ways to use a craft storage cart, and they are so versatile and handy to have. I use mine to store my planners, journals and notebooks along with the accessories and tools that I most often use with them. That way when I’m ready for planning or journaling time I just need to roll the cart out and all my supplies are within arm’s reach.
I often do my planning and journaling outside of my craft room in front of the TV in my living room after my kids go to bed, so I love that I can roll the cart out there easily without having to gather and move all my supplies.

I love that the We R Memory Keepers A La Cart collection includes a portable work surface that attaches to the top tier of the cart. It has magnetic attachments so it stays put while on the cart, but it’s easy to lift off and move to my lap while I work.

The Cart Pocket from the A La Cart collection allows me to fit so much more on the cart. It fits on the side easily with the included removable hooks. I use it to hold my markers, cutting tools, and some Journal Studio supplies.

Another accessory in the A La Cart collection that I love is the set of magnetic chalk labels and the chalk marker. Not only do the labels help keep things organized in my cart, but they’re pretty cute too! I can also wipe them clean and change out the labels as needed. That’s one thing I think is important in my craft room–the ability to change up my storage and organization as my craft stash and projects change.

Here’s the breakdown of what I have stored on my cart in each tier: the top tier is for my workspace and a bin of smaller Journal Studio tools. I keep the tools in a small silverware bin I picked up at a home store.

The middle tier is filled with my planners, journals and notebooks along with my favorite stash of washi tape rolls that I store in my mint Mini Bloom Storage. Washi tape is one of my go-to supplies for planning and journaling, so I always have plenty of that on hand. Plus I hang my Journal Studio Washi Tape Keychain on another removable A La Cart hook.

The bottom tier is where I keep my Mini Evolution and all the dies, embossing folders and coordinating stamps that go with it. It’s the perfect size for creating custom embellishments for my planners and journals! The Mini Evolution nesting storage caddies are not only functional, but theyr’e super cute and they fit all my Mini Evolution goodies perfectly.
