One thing I’ve learned from being a crafter for over 20 years is that craft room storage and organization are a PROCESS and not a COMPLETE TASK. If I think of my craft room as a fluid situation that needs regular evaluation I’m much more successful and staying organized than if I feel like I’m “done” organizing my craft supplies.
Looking at organizing craft supplies as a process means we need a constant source of ideas and inspiration so we can find storage solutions that work for our needs, so today I’m sharing some of my favorite craft room storage solutions!

The supplies that I use most often are stored on my Crate Paper Wire Storage Grid or in my Kallax shelving unit which are both right next to my work space. That way the things I reach for regularly are within arm’s reach!

I keep my small punch boards in the Punch Board Storage which conveniently sits on top of the Stackable Paper Trays where I keep my rainbow colored cardstock. (Can you tell what my favorite colors are?) I love that they fit perfectly into my Kallax shelving, and that they stack on top of each other saving precious craft room real estate.

The supplies I don’t use as frequently are stored on built in shelves in a double closet in my craft room. My larger punch boards, trimmers, Happy Jig, and score boards are stored in some paper storage cubicles in that closet.

In this cubicle I store my ongoing memory keeping projects. I also store papers and embellishments that I’m using for those on going projects right next to them so it’s easy to pull everything out when I have time to catch up on them. I’ve got my Heidi Swapp Memory Planners in the Crate Paper Desktop Paper Storage and planner papers and accessories in the Medium Craft Storage Case right next to it. Then the current scrapbook I’m working on is also in this cubicle along with the paper collections and embellishments I’m using for it next to the album in the Expandle Paper Storage.

I store my go-to tools and loose embellishments in these cubicles right next to my work space. I pull them out so I have easy access, and I open up my Bloom Storage when crafting so I can see all the goodies I get to choose from. I love that my Crafter’s Tote has a handle and PLENTY of pockets and storage space for my cutting tools, adhesive, and power tools.

I can’t live without my Washi Tape Dispenser! I love that you can stack two carousels using the Stackable Post because I’ve got a serious washi tape hoarding problem. (I probably need a few more of these, LOL!)

I keep scrapbook pages that I finish or am working on at a crop or retreat in this 12×12 Craft and Photo Storage Case. Each one is in its own page protector and stays there until I add them into my scrapbook album.

I love to keep letterboards and a magnet board in my craft room that I update every month or so with seasonal or inspiring quotes. I keep all my letterboard and magnet studio letters, words, and embellishments in the Washi Tape Storage Case. This bin is like Marry Poppins’ magic carpet bag. You can fit so much in it! Check out the removeable trays with two more removeable trays underneath. Storage for days friends!

Thanks for joining me! I hope some of the craft room storage ideas I’ve shared with you have been helpful. Remember craft room organization in a process, so enjoy the journey. Happy organizing friends!
What are the aqua boxes/bins you keep in your Kallax? Since I can no longer buy the Michaels cube with 12×12 hanging file drawer, I am on the lookout for an alternative.
Hi! Those aqua bins are from IKEA.
