I love being able to customize my planners and make them my own. To be honest, creativity is as important in my planning as staying organized is! I created an acetate weekly dashboard to help keep track of where I am in my planner and I’m excited to share it with you!
I was so excited when I heard about the new We R Memory Keepers Disc Power Punch! It’s got the same power as the traditional Crop A Dile, but with a disc punch for disc bound planners, journal, and notebooks. It can punch through chipboard, leather, plastic, thin wood, thin tin and multiple sheets of paper or cardstock. Just imagine how creative you can get with your planner!
I wanted to make a semi transparent dashboard for the weekly section of my Maggie Holmes Day-To-Day Planner. That way I can easily find my place, and I can still pretty well see both sides of my planner spread at the same time. I started by making a simple 6 x 8 1/2 inch frame with the We R Memory Keepers Frame Punch Board.
I made the top side of the frame 1 inch wide and then the other three sides 1/2 inch wide, then I used my Word Punch Board to punch out the word “weekly”. I slipped some vellum paper in behind the frame, then I laminated it and trimmed it down to 7 x 9 inches, the size of my planner pages.
I punched disc holes with my Disc Power Punch along the left edge, and embellished it with stickers and washi tape from the Maggie Holmes Marigold collection, and then added it to my weekly planner section.
This must-have tool punched right through my laminated plastic and it can also punch through leather, chipboard, thin wood, thin tin and multiple sheets of paper. It opens up so many creative possibilities for planners!
