While prepping my planner spread for the week before Valentine’s Day I had a thought. Valentine’s Day is for celebrating the ones we love, and what better way to do that than with a collection of some favorite memories with the ones I love! So, I decided to figure out a cool way to include some photos on my spread, and I love what I came up with. Check it out!
I created a custom insert using a journaling card from my patterned paper, and I punched it with the Disc Power Punch. I also love using this punch for custom inserts and covers because it can punch through almost anything!
Then I added a squash card on the insert that I made with my Explosion Board. This was the perfect way to include some of my favorite photos of me and my hubby.
I cropped some of my favorite black and white photos and adhered them to the inside of the squash card. Then I clipped the card shut with a binder clip.
I love having interactive elements in my planner! It’s so fun to turn the page and find a little surprise. And this squash card is easy to make. The Explosion Board comes with full instructions. You can also make gate fold cards and, of course, explosion boxes! Here’s a video tutorial of another project I made with the Explosion Board that you can watch on the We R YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/gv_svZXjC40
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this Valentine’s Day planner spread inspired your planning, journaling, and memory keeping. Happy February friends!
