anna griffin birthday stamps

Anna’s on QVC-UK tomorrow, and to celebrate I thought I’d share some projects with you. Last week was Birthday Week on the We R blog, so how about I piggy-back on that crafty theme and share some cards I made using Anna’s new Birthday Stamps.

I’ll be honest–stamping does not come to me naturally. I don’t really have the patience for it, but out of necessity I’ve had to learn some stamping skills working for Anna. I’ve put together some go-to stamping techniques for my Anna Griffin projects, and below are some of them.

Stamp repeated images to create a background. Tone-on-tone stamping is one of my favorite looks.

Use multiple stamps on a project for major WOW factor.

Stamp repeated images for a background and then cut them up like you would patterned paper. Heat emboss stamped images for added texture and depth.

Stamp images and then fussy-cut them to use as accents or embellishments. Stamp an image with watermark ink, add clear embossing powder and heat emboss. Then use an ink dauber to apply color, and wipe away the excess from the embossed image to reveal.

Trim a 12 inch strip of paper and stamp a repeated image across the strip. Score, fold, and make into a paper medallion.
I hope these ideas have inspired your stamping projects!

  1. I have never been a great stamper but couldn't resist Anna's chalkboard stamps. Thank you for the stamping tips you provided – that is really helpful!
